I think dedication is an understatement. It is some kind of manic psychosis, that keeps us with these cars. I've left women who have treated me better, and cost me much less.....LOL......Mike

Hard not to look back at such a sweet, sexy object.
I could not agree more.

I wouldn't limit it to the sports cars. The XJ6 series III was a very sexy car. And here's my '94 XJ40 VDP on the showroom floor right before I bought it. 10" longer & actually lower than the XK8.

Every time I go into the garage, I have to run my fingers across her sensuous curves. Why can't everyone appreciate what a beautiful creation the XK8 is? Really the last of it's kind IMO.

The last of it's kind indeed. I've never been a fan of the folded paper school of design so the voluptuous curves of these beautiful motor cars are like an oasis for me. It's the same reason that the new Jaguars leave me a little cold, all sharp edges and sterile interiors. I just can't get into that. I do admire the engineering aspects of the new Jaguar engines but the shapes will never be like the Jaguars of old.

I'll just say +1 to ALL the above, except maybe the exhaust pipe's, I do wipe the stainless tips once a week and both the XK8 & XJR get a California Dusting every morning.

Love these cars!
