Default Just bought 1998 XK8! Need advice

Hello Forum...
I have just added the 2nd Jag to my collection, a 1998 XK8 convertible (41k miles, Celebration Red with ivory interior). The car was properly sorted by JD's British cars outside Nashville, including chain guides and convertible top pump fluid and lines. I want to change the wheels, and like the look of these - they are a different size, and would require different tires of course. The original wheels are 17" (as you know better than I ), and these are 19".

The front wheels are 19x8, and the rear 19x9, and these are from a 2005-2006. Originals are 17x8 all around....

Any issue with adding these to my XK8? Any issue with the inch wider wheel in the back? Bolt patter is the same (5 slot x 4.75)

Thanks very much in advance for any and all advice - it is appreciated...

ALL supercharged XKR (X100) use the wider wheels, larger tires in the rear so it will work fine.

DO NOT put larger wheels/tires on the front axle. (it will 'mess with' the ABS/Traction control wheel speeds)

The rear wheels can rotate SLOWER than the front but NOT vice-versa.

Dont follow that motorcarman ...Surley the traction control compares the wheel speeds so provided the tyres fitted are appropriate all will be well. Only item to show incorrectly will be the speedometer.
Check what tyres were fitted to the original vehicle the wheels came off.

The point is to keep the wheels outer diameter the same, so larger rims equals smaller tire height. No problem either with traction control or speedometer reading.
235/40-19 front and 255/35-19 rear will be correct
