Default Just drive 'em

Caught this on my way home Thursday night. This one never sets more than a few days without being driven. Keeps things running smooth I think.

Not without a few repairs here and there. Like a friend of mine said "once in a while you have to make a car payment". I just did the left front wheel bearing on Friday. Usually I try doing my own repairs. Let the local indy The Jag Shop in Portland do this one as I didn't have all weekend that it would take me and they knocked it out in 3-1/2 hours while I relaxed and read a book.

It sounds like a steering rack is in my future if I decide to keep it past 200k. I'm lusting after an '05 but I've gotten comfortable with this old gal.

YMMV,
Mike

Keep on truckin'.
Sounds like you have a real partner, not a car.
Don't let her go.

I know what you mean Mike, its worrying to have to start from scratch on another used car, just when you have all of the little fixes done, you're up on the maintenance, you know what to expect next (steering rack) which makes the car predictable...sometimes its hard to give that up and start over.

Nice catch, Mike. I like to get pictures of those special numbers.

I'm with you on wanting newer and still sticking with the old. My previous daily driver was with me from July 10, 1989 until I replaced it with my 2000, XKR almost four weeks ago. Don't think I want to be without a work of art like this, again. I could go for a 2005 or 2006, but, for now, that's as new as I care for.
