I took it apart and dried it with a hairdryer but no go. Got it setting in a bag of rice. I'm wondering if I just replace the battery? I suspect a new one will be hard to find and reprogram.

Go to an Advance Auto parts store. They have a fob tester. If you do not get a signal replace the battery. They sell them there.

If it is still bad these fobs are widely available on ebay for under $50, and relatively easy DIY programming instructions have been posted numerous times on this forum.

+1. Save time, get one on order right away. If clean one works, you'll have a spare

I just ordered a new remote from ebay. Not a used one. It from seller "remotz4less" I think. I ordered a couple used ones about the same price but neither worked properly. The new one was about 50.00 and used were around 38-48.00. Not worth the savings.
Just make sure the codes on back are the same. Ad I programmed mine in 5 minutes. Easy!!
