I'm looking for another mesh grille option if there's one out there anywhere. I really want one with the profile of the newer faux mesh plastic grilles. It's much larger visually and looks much more substantial than the standard XK8 mesh. I have some larger steel mesh similar to the regular mesh but I have o way to get the chrome finish. If it were painted black, it would work, but I really want chrome/stainless.
My new metallic chocolate paint looks so good, I'd like to update the chrome mesh. Otherwise, I'll use the standard stainless. Black doesn't work on it now.

What about color matching the grill, or color matching the grill with a chrome trim on the outer rim of the grill?

 

thought about that but it would look like we were too lazy to take off to paint! And the chrome edge isn't flawless. Not noticeable with chrome mesh but would really show imperfection in shaping oval if mesh was painted.
And I hope ridiculous in a freakin AWESOME way!! LOL I hope its done by Friday like he says. I want to take it to Charlotte to a huge car rally called Cars and Cofffee!
My brother is a welder and gets the larger steel mesh for jobs and he says he may be able to get a piece of stainless but its really expensive and it needs a finished edge as well.
