Why dont you just lower the XK by an 1", it will not effect your ride.

It is only when you lower more than that things get hard, and it will improve the stance.

I wish I didn't have cats suspension, it is nothing more than a gimmick that does not work very well and costs a fortune to replace the shocks
Struggling to locate a kit that lowers the ride by only 1 inch. It appears all the springs I can find is a 1.5 inch lowering and that is more than I wish to do. Any suggested vendors?

Adamesh do them...... Eibach, H&R, even I sell them but the shipping on something that heavy would be a killer and if you take my advice just lower the back don't do the front.....

Thanks!!! I have used Eibach on my Lincoln LSE and liked them but could not find Jaguar listed on their web site as a vehicle covered by them. I'm in the midst of a complete restoration of a 1999 XK8 I think your my source for 20 mm rear spacers, shims etc. I will be picking a few things up from you soon :-). Oh and back only I agree!

Adamesh is offering the 1 inch lowering rears shipped to a buddy's address in Michigan for Total:£168.33. If you can match that I would rather get them from you. After all, why not put a dollar in the hand of someone that helps on the forum :-)

Do I have to worry about ABS and traction control even if the larger tires are on the rear only?
I put 235/60/17 in the front and 245/65/17 on the rear XK8 and have not had any problems. It looks great and gives it a better stance, I think.

You might want to check that is for front and rear and not just for the rear, I can not even get close to that if it is for 4 springs

That amount was for the price of just the rear springs. But I ended up getting a set of rears with a 1 inch lowering for $267.00 US and they can be here in a few days. I'll jump on that. I have other things in mind from your shop once I get started on the body.

So far I have all new shocks, mounts and springs, all new break components and suspension components. I ended up finding stainless brake lines from the UK through Quality Parts Solutions Ltd. Not easy to do because they are for an XK8 and not the XKR. I had to wait for a special fabrication run. All new hoses and fluids have been secured as well as tensioners and gaskets. I have acquired new fuel pump, aluminum thermostat housing and new water pump, universal joints for the main shaft as well as the half shafts, drive shaft flex joint, all new wheel bearings front and rear and much more. To date I have invested approximately $3800 US in parts. I will be starting on this work pertaining to what I call "The Drive Train Phase" in about a month. The body and interior follows after.

I have larger tires on the back wheels, simply because they didn't have the size I needed at the time (bought the car needing rear tires). Other than looking kind of odd, it forces the nose down just a hair - which causes scraping issues on poorly designed road trenches and driveway transitions.
