Default Led dimming

Hi Guys
I have installed some led daytime running lights the round type inside the headlights and I think they look quite good. The only thing I would like to do it dim them when the indicators come on (same as the Audis and range rovers do now).So can anyone tell me the wire I need to tap into to get the signal for the LEDs to dim?
Cheers in advance

Most LEDs are not capable of being dimmed.

He might be able to 'shunt' the led's when the turn indicators power on. My start switch on my scooter shunts everything on START to give the starter maximum VOLTAGE.

To dim an LED you have to regulate the current instead of the voltage. The so called dimmable LEDs have this circuitry built into them.

If you want them to dim the entire time that the indicator is on and not have them flash like the indicator does, then you will need to connect to the input circuit from the turn signal stalk. All of the outputs are controlled day the body processor and toggle on and off to flash the lights.

Well all LEDs are capable of being dimmed i have added a relay to change the supply through a resistor and they dim ok but they flash/ dim alternate to the indicators. What I need is the supply to the dim resistor to stay constant until the indicators are cancelled. I think ccfulton is right its just tracking down the right wire.I have tried taking pictures but they dont show up very well.I will take a picture at dusk they might show better then. Thanks anyway guys

Are they similar to these? When we tried to do the same thing, they started flickering about a month later.
I'm modifying my fog lights to have small Amber Led turn bulbs in them. They will still function as fogs but I never use them really.

Yes they are very similar to those on your Jag. I got mine from ebay about £3.50 each and easy to fit. I havent had any problems with flickering at all and mine come on after about a 10 second delay after start up.

Mine only flickered when they were programed witht the turn signals. Now they are steady burn and fine. I think mine were about the same price!
