Default Lens moisture

Tuesday I purchased a 2003 XKR, and I notice there is moisture/condensation in both front light lens covers. Is there a recommended method of removing the moisture?

i dont know how your headlights are but im pretty sure theyre the same as my 98 xk8. when you open the hood look at the back on the headlight. youll see a giant clear plastic piece. simply unclip it and remove the plastic. after driving around a little it will clear out the condensation. im pretty sure you can leave the plastic off without having to worry about getting water in the headlight as well.

I have an 03 XKR and I had the same problem. I had a dealer install the vent tubes and it cost about $100 but it worked...regards...

Default RE: Lens Moisture

Where are those vent tubes?

I just purchased a 2002 XK8, and I also have moisture inside both headlights. Since I live in the Seattle (aka Rainforest) area, I need to get this handled. I am sure I can dry these babies out during the few days when it's not raining here, but I need a long-term solution. I wanted to find out if the previous owner had these vent tubes installed. Thanks.

James
