Looking to buy xjr convertible
Hi all , what would the forum suggest as a convertible go for an 2006 xkr of the 07 an up. I have an eye on a 2006 xkr victory edition with 112.000 miles in good condition. Or should I move on . Any ideas. Thanks.

The X150 is hands down the better car in pretty much all measurable areas.
However, the X100 has something over the redesign in the classic look and feel department. It’s probably also easier to work on.
Buy it which you like more.

Sacho,
not sure of the question...XJR... typo?
If you’re looking at X100 vs X150, it’s a question of budget vs performance vs beauty.
The X100 is a beautiful classic body shape but with reliability problems due to age. Rust is an issue now. But it’s cheap and entry level to a V8 engine. If looked after properly, the AJ-V8 is a terrific, reliable engine. The later Merc and ZF6 transmission gearboxes are good too.
The X150 is the later newer model and is a performance sports car with an Aluminium chassis so lighter, quicker and nimbler. Rev Sam could give you a direct comparison as he’s had both. Ask his opinion on the X150 forum. The XKR-S is said to be a serious sports motor. But it’s also more expensive.... no surprise there.
If it’s class you’re after, the X100 convertible is hard to beat for value for money. If it’s a sports car you’re after, go for the X150.
