My newly acquired XKR is in the beauty parlor getting the front bumper painted and when I removed the splash guard attached to the bottom of the front bumper, I noticed some pretty serious road rash. I would like to replace it with a used one if possible or a new one if a used one is not available.

The part you are looking for is the undertray. HJE6484AB to VIN A40264, C2N2744 after. It's very unlikely you'll find a used one better than your existing one.

 

^^ what he said. That tray is your first line of defense against parking lot bumpers, low curbs and speed bumps.

If it is not broken and you just want it cleaned up cosmetically you can .

If yours still has the rubber strip across it consider yourself lucky. A lot of those get scraped off.

NOTE: I have a problem with how this site is "redirecting" the link I post to other vendors it apparently prefers. Especially when the price is higher.

That is so f-ed up. Why does this site now need to ignore what I post and use what it prefers as a more profitable option?

The crazy part is the site still shows the Amazon icon next to the link even though you don't go to Amazon.

another option for repair and protection of the undertray is a product called bed-liner. it is a spray-on coating for pickup beds. some enterprising people have it tinted to various colors and paint entire off-road vehicles with it. it makes panels close to indestructible.

 

 

BlueGrass, A new one to replace the one that was stolen from my 2005 XKR cost me about $380.00 back in March! I don't know the Year of your "Newly Acquired" XKR as they are different after 2004...So if you have an earlier one, it might not cost that much....Go to Jagbits.com or Jerry's Jaguar Parts...They have them..
