This was the info I was going off
hence the decesion to replace the whole engine and g/box t, to uphrade from240hp to 375
is this info incorrect?
Supercharged
The supercharged version of the AJ26 is used in the high-performance R versions of Jaguar's cars. The engine was updated with AJ27 specifications for 2000. It produces 375 hp (280 kW) and 387 lb·ft (525 N·m) with the help of an Eaton supercharger (modified roots-blower). The supercharged engine did not use variable cam timing as the normal benefits of improved volumetric efficiency are not noticeable on a boosted engine
Vehicles using the supercharged version include:
AJ26S
1998-1999 Jaguar XJR
1998-1999 Jaguar XKR
1998-1999 Daimler Super V8
hence the decesion to replace the whole engine and g/box t, to uphrade from240hp to 375

If you're advertising "Wanted to Buy" then it should be in CLASSIFIEDS forum.

but if you have been reading what I have been trying to find out
as I have no knowledge of the jag engines
you will see that I have talked about changing crank (for longer stroke)
about the VVT not on the AJ26S and the AJ26 and using my heads with a M112 charger.
Flex plates ect whith out all the ecu hassels
it lead me to maybe it was just easier to fine a 1998 4.0L supercharged But! very scarce
so yes maybe look for a 98-99 XJR or XKR motor and box
thats the next step in the CLASSIFIEDS
Thanks

The ONLY way I see to accomplish what you want would be to get a salvage XKR and transfer ALL the necessary components (parts, harnesses, modules et cetera).
You will be FOREVER looking in salvage yards and on the internet for 'JUST THAT ONE MORE PART' to TRY to get it running correctly.
Good Luck

complete engine & transmission with harness & computers, (whatever that is required)
a supercharger could be fitted the guy says
what do you think

Not that simple. Basic structure is the same but many differences in the detail. Jag also went to different gearbox for the blown motor and they didn't do that for the fun of it.

I know they fitted the merc box due to extra power
can you tell me some of the differences pls

as far as I can understand from the email it never had a supercharger fitted
the wreckers are asking 5.5k not sure what sort of price I should pay
or if they are including fitting, I am waiting email from them
thanks again

On the differences between SC and NA engines it may be easier to Google but vvt, comp ratio, SC drive and engine management are a few that come immediately to mind.
