Default Loose exterior mirror glass

My driver's side exterior mirror is a bit loose and gets the shakes going down the road. The housing is tight, the mirror adjusts just fine; it's just the glass part isn't securely attached. I see in the manual how to tighten the entire assembly, but that's not the problem.

Does anybody know how the glass mirror is attached? How to detach and fix it?

Thanks!

2005 XKR coupe 80K miles.

It is a bit fiddly but attached is the pictures showing the steps. The tech manual is showing the right hand mirror.

Thanks Vern! Yes, I actually saw that in the manual, but it didn't seem quite like my mirror as the shape of the housing is quite different. I think that I'll try the very last step again of pressing the outer edge forward to engage the clips. If I can't do it with my fingers I do own several large hammers.
