lots a codes ???
heyy forum; jag went a lil crazy yesterday.... codes left and right.... maybe some advice and or help pleaseee ..... codes are po327--po1642--p1722--po303--po306--p1316--p1000 and MIL-ON also had on dash, transmission fault and fail saftey engine mode ?? ...... I believe the 303/306 are miss fire codes..can any of these codes reset by starting the car afew times or more and driving around ?? or is it time TO GO TO THE BIG JAGUAR IN THE SKY ??? ( its an xk8 conv. 2001 still looks great has about 86M miles on it ) has new battery also.. maybe needs a set of plugs to start ??...... car also felt like it was dragging abit...................................THANKS TONY
P1000 means someone has cleared the codes so if you did it then ignore it.
Fix the P0303 & P0306 soon if you can. Probably bad coils but maybe wiring or even oil/water fouling the coils.
The P0327 also wants attention soon if it recurs once those are fixed.
Stop clearing codes and instead fix things. Probably fairly easy and not too costly.

Quick inventory:
P0303 is cylinder 3 misfire (right side)
P0306 is cylinder 6 misfire (left side). Trouble shooting is usually swapping coils to follow the fault
P0327 is right knock sensor. A wet knock sensor can be a permanent fault requiring replacement.
P1316 is excess emissions. Could be caused by above.
P1642 is CAN malfunction
First question . . . engine get wet recently?
Coil packs are more likely than plugs to be a problem and they can easily get wet. Knock sensors fail when sufficiently wet.
CANetwork fault is usually a wiring fault or a failing module. Both could be attributed to wet.
Drive it to get it hot and potentially dry any water problems and yeah, clear them and see what comes back.

1. what made you clear codes 5 months ago?
2. as it sounds like a low use vehicle rather than a daily driver, do you keep it on a battery tender?
3. the comment about 'raining a lot' suggests it's not garaged.
Damp and a partially discharged battery can often cause a lot of faults. Coils and knock sensor both failing together is unusual.
I agree with the above suggestions to get it charged, codes cleared again, thoroughly warmed up and see what DTC's come back.

P1000 indicates OnBoard monitoring tests not completed since last memory clear. It changes to P1111 when the tests are complete. This takes a number of 'drive cycles' - it's not time related. If you haven't done many miles in the five months since you cleared the codes, that explains why it's still on P1000.

hey forum; turns out all those codes were caused by the transmission .... transmission mech. reset comp. test drove and seen there was a transmission problem banging and slipping in gear ... need to rebuild the transmission now... plus as of yesterday all codes cleared except one for now ... code 1722...which will be gone after the rebuild...... just never know I guess........codes can come from anywhere at anytime for any reason ????????? THANKS T.
wish me luck !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
