Default Love my Tonneau cover

My XK8 came without a factory tonneau....searched the web and couldn't make up my mind which one to buy....how can one really tell the quality from the pictures?

Luckily this forum came to the rescue when it mentioned one of the eBay sellers is located in San diego!!! Gave him a call so I could see the cover in person - I really wanted the best and willing to pay for it, so I was not expecting much as it was one of the lowest priced ones....but the cover does not disappoint! The quality is just over the top (pun intended).... definitely recommend this item. His ebay name is CWsomething...in any case his name Charles (Chuck) Whitney... His email is clwcruiseco@yahoo.com.

I recommend it 100%

PS> Checked but couldn't find the forum rules to see if recommending specific vendor is allowed or not....I'm sure mod will let me know if unacceptable...=)

Never mind, a little more searching lead me to the right vendor. Here's the link in case others have the same question. XK8 Jaguar Boot Boot Top Cover for Convertible New | eBay

This guy is great! His name is Charles Whitney and when I bought my XKR in 2008 it had the tonneau cover but not the bag. I noticed this vendor also advertised bags and I ended up buying one--great quality. In the process he told me how he went to painstaking measures to come up with a better quality tonneau than the OEM one and I was really impressed.

You can't go wrong by contacting him for a tonneau or a bag.

I think at the time it was $45 and he still advertises those on his ebay listing if you read down the page.

I posted on a couple old posts, but if someone is in need of this cover, they might find it useful. He is still in business. I just ordered one.

Default Love my tono cover

If you really want to dress up your conv., a tono cover is the way to go, plus, while driving you get no flap flap of the liner and of course dirt.

I'm sure this dealer produces an excellent product, and I purchased mine on ebay also from "Topsonline.com" and the bag came with it for $275. It's beautiful with no creases etc. Fits like a glove and the color match is perfect.

Just another available choice for you.
