Low brake fluid message
Does any one have a circuit diagram for the brake fluid low warning. Currently have voltage to the reservoir plug and continuity through the sensor. Want to know where the sign goes to and possible plugs and earths to check. Thanks All. Dave
Dave:
I see that you have a 1997, but FWIW from my 2002 Electrical Handbook, FIG 06.1 shows that the float switch on one side has a UY (blue-yellow) wire from contact EM37-2 to the ABS/Traction control contact LF37-1. The other side of float switch has a U (blue) wire from contact EM37-1 to the ABS/Traction control contact LF37-13.
Also, it shows one inline connector for these 2 wires LF40-1 for the blue yellow wire and LF40-2 for the blue wire.
Hopefully, someone more knowledgable on the 1997 model will come along.

"Currently have voltage to the reservoir plug" may well be a good thing. Also "continuity through the sensor" (the float switch in the reservoir) may well be a good thing. What I would first question is if there is ADEQUATE continuity through the sensor. On mine, when I disconnect the plug at the reservoir, I get the "low fluid message", but when I jump the two connector plug (using an insulated jumper so as not to accidentally body ground it) , the "low fluid message" is extinguished.
