Coolant tank sensor is a magnetic float under the cap
Simple test of the float is to stick a magnet under the cap and see if message goes away.
Otherwise, if you’re mechanically minded, remove tank and check continuity on the two contacts when you turn tank upside down. There’s a stickie’s How To video by Rev Sam

It isn't necessary to remove the tank to access the level switch. The switch is located beneath the tank on the engine side forward corner. You can reach underneath the tank, unplug the connector, rotate it a 1/4 turn and it will come out. You can also rotate it out and unplug it after removal. It is independent of the tank and you don't need to drain or disconnect the fragile plastic lines. To test the float you can vacuum out the water from the overflow tank and check that it moves freely up and down and then add a small amount of water and make sure it floats. It's fiddly but with a small mirror easily done.
If the float is bad (rare) , then you will have to change the tank.
