I'm planning to do all the fluids when the weather improves, and been gathering the bits in preparation.


While I was convalescing from the trauma of the dealer quote for the trans fluid, I spotted that the company that delivers our heating oil also does other oil products. LT71141 was on their list for £4.74 per litre (20 litre drum). Even in the UK with 20% VAT that still works out about £30 less than the cheapest I've seen on Ebay.

Might be worth giving yours a shout - just sayin'

Here in the colonies we have any number of ATF products that meet the LT71141 specs for around $6. I suspect you do also.

 

Indeed; although it isn't my intention to kick off yet another 'What's the best oil for my transmission' debate.
At that price, there's little difference between LT.. and its equivalents, plus I don't need to worry about how 'equivalent' any particular equivalent will be.
