It is time to replace the factory lug nuts but I want to go with some that are more durable.
I am recalling some conversation about Toyota lug nuts...?
What is the size of the needed thread and depth?
Input from anyone that has done this would be greatly appreciated.

I can’t speak to the 2006 model year, but the 2002’s use 1/2”-20 thread with a short shank.

there was some conflicting information on the forum about the Toyota nuts being right for my model year, but they aren’t right.

The following info was copied from a couple of forum posts :

first, an illustration



and second, some conflicting information with these measurements::

I couldn’t find lug nuts with per exact measurements, but the following is a description from a set I purchased on eBay, and they fit perfectly .

I was looking for a “one piece” lug nut because my factory 2-piece nuts (no jokes please) were damaged by an idiot tire installer on one wheel.
