Probably not specific to just X100s but posting here for now.
Made the worst decision so far today, decided to fold in the side mirrors for no particular reason and something loudly snapped on the driver's side, leaving the mirror housing floppy. I took the housing cover off expecting to find a broken spring retainer or similar but all I see is the that the sleeve through which the the mirror cable is routed is broken off from the spring top plate. I don't see how this sleeve, when attached, is holding the spring in compression, but I also don't see anything else that does. I'm not finding anything on JagRepair.com on this.
Anybody know if the spring assembly is replaceable or do I need a new mirror?
Thanks!
