I have followed the owner's manual and programmed the seat. You position your seat, mirrors, steering column telescoping, and steering column tilt and then push "M" then the number (1 or 2). A "chirp" is heard showing that they are programmed. You then push and hold the number (1 or 2) until they reach their desired position. I set the seat then push "M" then "1" and I hear the chirp, but when I change the seat position then push and hold "1", the seat does not move. So, the system seems to program, but will not go to the programmed position. There is a switch on the steering column that reads "auto" and "off". It will not move to the programmed position in either mode.

Has anyone ever experienced this problem?

 

The only thing I have experienced with mine is quirky behavior. I will set seat position to where I want it and hit M then 1 and a ring tone indicates that this is set. Sometimes if I get in the car and want to check the setting. There are times when hitting 1 will result in a ring indicating that settings are where I wanted them, but other times if I hit 1 the seat will move into some bizarre position (usually all the way forward). I brought this weird behavior to the attention of the service guy at my local dealer but nothing was done. I assume this is just one of those numerous electrical gremlins typical with these cars.

what year? Did you read this thread about the driver side seat module, if replaced with a new unit?
