hi all
on my xj8 when i get out of my car the seat goes right back and steering
wheel gos up and folds away as it should and when i get in it gos to my memorized position all works fine
now 4 my xkr the memory seats all works in all directions and i set the memory to what position i want but when i get out of the car the seat dos not go back the same way as the xj8 it justs stops in the same position the steering whee dos go back as it should so have to press the button on the seat to go back when i get in put the key in the steering wheel gos to the right position but seat dos not so i have to press and keep finger on memory switch do it or by the seat just wanted to know is it supposed to do the same as the xj8 or are they different

 

The memory seats work independently from the automatic tilt/telescoping wheel. You hold the memory seat button and it moves the seat and wheel to the saved position. When you remove the key, all it does it retract the wheel and tilt it to the highest postion; the seat does not move. When you get back in, the wheel moves to the potion that it was last in.
