Cool Mina Exhaust + X-pipe

I replaced the center muffler on my XK8 with an X-pipe I got from Chris at Mina Gallery. This is what it sounds like with their under axle exhaust. The X-pipe is positioned as close to the engine as possible. The install cost me $200 at a local muffler shop as my normal mechanic is closed for this week. I'm sure it could be done for less, but I'm happy with the result. Inexpensive upgrade relative to the exhaust, which cost me around $1,400 total.

I may also go for a set of downpipes if Nameless will budge on the $1,500 price tag.

Default Another exhaust mod enthusiast

Jacob,

Well done. I too modified my exhaust for a more satisfying engine noise plus the extra BHP from removing the over axle restriction.

If you have the time, any chance of a pic of your fit up?

Anyway - Well done!

So now what are your plans on the ABS fault on the dash?

Not sure, it's intermittent, I don't know the best way to go about fixing it myself. Maybe clean the wheel speed sensors? I'll post a picture on ramps sometime soon, I should've taken one at the exhaust shop.

I made a lot of progress on my car.

Shift surround from Mina Gallery

Shift knob from Etsy

Chrome rings from Mina Gallery, the one for the trip computer was a little too small, but I secured it with trim tape. The three in the center of the car were too small as well, but Chris said he'd find some that fit, apparently not all dashes are created equally.

Got the whole car polished and sealed, not a swirl or scratch!

I also have chrome rings for the headlights and taillights from Mina Gallery, a new headlight lens, as the passenger side one is brand new and the driver side one is original. Maybe I can find somebody to install the new OEM Jaguar seat covers I got for cheap on eBay as well. I have a new illumination module coming and a bright red dipstick and oil cap to replace my faded ones. This quarantine has given me a lot of time to fix up my car!

Sound from outside:

Surprised me, but it's much louder outside. I've only heard videos of this setup from outside the car and it seemed too loud, which is why I didn't go with it initially. I hope this helps somebody because I did a lot of research when modifying the exhaust on my car.
