Default Missing Navigation Knob Solution

All,

Seems the knob missing from the Nav System has become a problem for several members.

I have done a model and 3D printed a handful in ABS. They are press fit (press, screw, and then press hard) and seem ok on my offline system.

See pics below. You can always post-process (spray filler primer, then sand, and paint).

I think $6 PayPal/Shipped CONUS would cover my costs.

Mods, hope this doesn't run afoul, just offering an item at essentially cost to the community. I will be posting the STL on Thingiverse (free) at some point,
PM me if interested.

Very nice indeed.

I don't need a knob but I am interested in the model you have made. Just in case...

Nice work.

Wondering if the plastic can stand being spun in a drill with some fine sand paper to smooth it and dull the sheen like the original.

Probably. It’s ABS plastic but may whiten on direct sanding.

My nozzle was a touch high when I printed these. So not as good as they could be.

I would recommend using a filler primer (https://www.rustoleum.com/product-ca...r-primer-spray) then sand and paint.

If if I were selling for profit, I would post process but for $6 shipped...
