Default Moving to Italy

Hi All,

Looking for some advice, I have a 2000 xkr and will be moving to Italy. I want to take my baby with me but I believe it needs some mods to make it compatible. Has anyone don’t this before?

You'll need to convert the RHD headlights to LHD. You can buy replacement beam deflectors or you can cut the existing ones down as a mirror image. You access them the same way you get to the headlight bulbs, through the access panel in the wheel arch.

There are a few threads on this topic on the forum, eg:-

European cars dont have the beam kink style of dip but the square cut off . You will also find an arrow on the glass indicating the direction of dip. If the tester sees this you will fail . You could grind it off and pollish the glass

For my UK car, I just cut the deflector down in the mirror image of what was originally there. Never had a problem passing the inspection here in Spain, and they will fail you for anything.
