Default My 98 XK8 hood won't unlatch on passenger side

Hi All,
The passenger side hood latch on my 1998 XK8 convertible will not release. I've pushed the hood down tried the release lever many times with no success. The driver side releases every time. Please help.
Thank you,
Dave

There was another recent thread HERE on the same issue... BUT there was no resolution posted. Maybe IM the OP to see if he solved his issue...

Mine was doing the same thing when I first bought it. I held the release lever up and picked up on the hood at the same time. Got hood open. Oiled passenger side latch and its been okay since then.

I have the same problem with my 02 xkr on the passenger side. You have to stuff a pillow or something under the drivers side to put pressure on the other side. Then pull the lever again and mine popped open. I am taking the passenger side off and fixing tomorrow.

Got it. Easy enough fix to adjust in and out the hood part of the latch !!
Found that somewhere !!
