Default hood

I am having trouble opening the hood on my wife's 2003XK8 convertible, the passenger side hood release does not want to release.

Any ideas?

Thank you,
John

Use the HEX key in the boot near the convertible hood pump after turning the hydraulic release knob.
The key is inserted into the top latch behind the interior plug and turned to release the mechanical latch/lock rods from the outer latches.

There is a danger of bending the top frame if the rear section is not pressed in as the top is lowered. The frame is unlocked by means of pulling the frame hinge where the lift rams are attached.

If you are referring to the bonnet then please rephrase the question.

I had difficulty releasing my hood, so I pulled so hard that the snaps tore out of the jacket. Now I just wear a bonnet.
