My Dream car is giving me nightmares....
I have a 2002 XKR 100, that is now in restricted performance. The car was running great, then started to misfire a little and had a ruff idle. Now that the car is home, when I start it, seems to idle ok, but the engine light is on (restricted performance also). I plugged in my handy code reader and this is what I got:

Any suggestions on what to do, or any recommendations where to take it in Houston, Texas (North/Humble). I have heard good things about Momentum, but I have also heard they are very expensive, and the opposite side of town.

 

Check a few simple things first that could play havoc with your electrical system.

- Are the battery connections clean and tight.

- Is there water under the carpetted floor of the trunk?

- Is the battery main ground cable to the chassis clean and tight?

- Is the spare tire loose in the wheel well...make sure it is not bumping into the big fuses on the right rear wall of the trunk under the carpet

- Perform a 'hard reset' of the computers in the car by disconnecting the negative battery cable, and touching it to the positve battery terminal for a few seconds.

- Have the battery load tested at an auto parts store.
