Yes, oil spots at home and work, not too serious yet, and I have not been able to get underneath to fund the cause. I tried to pull up on a set of ramps a few days ago but the low front end prevented their use. From the location of the stains, forward passenger side of the engine, and nothing is visible from the top.

My neighbor said "its a British car, they are supposed to leak" - - smart ***

From the location you describe, possibly a loose oil filter or a bad rubber seal on it ....
