We almost lost the event last month due to idiots burning out of the parking lot and a specific mustang actually wrecked and almost hit bystanders. But they are giving one last chance.

The Little Switzerland JCNA Concours event is awesome. Stunning location overlooking the blue ridge mountains, great food, fun shopping in small boutiques, and JAGUARS!! Almost every model ever made. There's a great Inn if you want to spend a night or two but it fills up fast. It's probably about 2+ hours from charlotte? About an hour or less for hickory. It's July 17-20 but the actual show is that Saturday. Head up that morning, have a 5 star lunch on the panoramic veranda, walk the beautiful grounds and view some o the most beautiful jaguars, even vote for people's choice (mine lol) and then check out the shops before heading home.
I've always wanted to go up to Little Switzerland. Now I have a reason.
We went to Cars and Coffee last week for the first time. No Jags there at the time. It looks like this will be something I attend quite regularly and hope to see you there soon. As far as the Mustang crash, I watched the video and wonder if the majority of Mustang owners typically act like that. I think you know what I mean. When we left we spotted police fire and medic on the bridge 1/4 mile away from the event tending to a bad crash.............Mustang again.

Two out of three incidents with cars and coffee were caused by mustangs. Ad the other culprit was a supra. It's the racer crowd that just has to show their asses and ruin it for everybody. I'll miss April cars and coffee due to furniture market but I'll be there for may!!
Where are you located?

Wonder if I should join SC or NC club. I'm only 5 minutes from Charlotte. I'll have to give that some thought.

No chance to use the new umbrellas here.

I've heard the SC isn't as good as NC. But I've only been involved about a year.

One last interior addition, I sent my wood steering wheel to British Autowood and Saul's refinishing it in piano black. That should really be the final touch! I don't think I've ever seen a piano black steering wheel in an XK8. Even the few factory piano black Xk8 interiors have all leather wheels.

That E-TYPE in the center is truly a yellow car! Mine was a primrose yellow, but the one in the picture is bolder than primrose.

Was it really that bold a yellow? How did it look in person?

It's nicknamed the "banana" E. And yes, its that yellow! I've been told he enters it every year in my Special division and has won the last 4 years. It's a performance modified racing E in immaculate condition and its the one I'm most intimidated by but several of the judges said I could give him a run for his money once I get a few cosmetic issues taken care of. Seems the biggest deductions in my category will be for quality of modifications, and basic fit and finish. Most of the entries in Special division were racing modified E or classics with non factory colors. I personally think they need a different section for the racing cars so its a more level field in cosmetically modified cars.
I've got to have front spoiler repaired and painted due to tow truck and buff a few faint scratches. Then out come the q tips to clean every nook and cranny!!
