Default My son's Ferrari next to my XKR

I got all our cars out this afternoon so I could give the garage a good clean. When he saw what I was doing, Tom, aged 3, thought it would be rude not to park his Ferrari in the sunshine, too

You'd better get a front license plate on that Ferrari before the police throw your son in jail.

Mish_Mish, your son needs a root beer in hand.

Frog, the Miata should definitely be the same colour as the XKR. That would look so cool.

Russians hate root beer, it tastes like bad cola to us.

You should do a monster conversion to the Miata and put a 5.0 or ls1 conversion in it. Talk about FAST! Would eat that Jag and the kids car up.

This may show my cruel streak, but whenever I see a Miata in a parking lot I try to park next to it. I've never driven a Miata, but I've heard they're great cars. For some reason, however, I can't help but think if the driver of the Miata comes out and sees the two cars parked side-by-side he's going to be thinking "DAMN! I wish I had one of those!"

I have owned 3 Miata's. GREAT CARS. The first gen among most Miata lovers is the one to get, 90-98 I think it is. 90-93 has the smaller motor so it you can drive one, 94 or better would be great. They are not rockets, but you can rev the F out of them to get them moving, they love it. The handle like your on rails, that is why so many love them.
There are several tried and ture kits avail for the car to convert to a legit rocket with a v8 in it. The LS motors from GM actually are the better fit for the car.
And for me, if I had walked out into the parking lot and had the choice of which car to get in, Miata or Jag? I would go with the Miata. I like my wifes jag but the miata is a blast to drive car and it rarely gives you issues.

The MX5/Miata is indeed great fun to drive, more like a go-kart after stepping out of the ultra-refined Jag. When I first got it 6 months ago, I couldn't believe how direct the steering felt. Handling is midblowing and makes the Jag feel ponderous, like a boat. Downside is the relative lack of comfort and noise on motorways from just about every orifice. I agree that parked next to the Jag it looks like a kid's toy

When my girls were small, their Barbies had a Ferrari 308 and a C4 Corvette.... both pink, of course.
