Default NAV Screen Scratched and Bubbling

Good Morning,

I have a recently acquired 2002 XKR and the NAV screen is scratched with many small bubbles......looks like it was perhaps cleaned with something that shouldn't have been used.

Anyway, it works fine and was wondering :

Does the entire unit need to be replaced?
Can the screen itself be changed out?
Does anyone repair these?

On the flip side I may just go with the 3 gauge conversion, but just looking at the options.

Thank you,

Rob

I think its common. You can search eBay for used units, I bought one for ~$220 (?).

You can swap the screen, but it would be a real PITA. Since the NAV is useless, I say live with it.

Not sure about Jaguar, but some manufacturers put a protective plastic film on the nav screen which is supposed to be removed by the dealer or owner. Also, some owners put an aftermarket protective film on themselves. Scratches and bubbling sure sounds like a removable plastic film. If so, it can be hard to find an edge to start peeling.
