Hello,

I own a 2001 XKR. The navigation system/GPS is out of date and not recognizing roads/locations built after 2001.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Thank you,
Jim Graham

There are no updates available, basically the NAV is useless, makes a nice clock that's about it.

The last disk by "NAVTEK" is 2005 which is still outdated. Other than doing the Garmin mod "this forum" the only way to make it at all useful is to pick intersections of roads or way points for where you want to go. You can still come close on established roads but not in new developments.

Good Luck

Bob

There are a number of approaches forum members have taken to make better use of the space.

Some get rid of it entirely and switch to the 3 gauge cluster.
Some change it out for a Garmin.
Some repurpose the display to take other inputs.

I did the last one, and can display my phone GPS on the screen and play the Nav audio through the car speakers.
