Default Need Alignment or new springs?

I replaced my tires and wheels yesterday, so I also put my 1997 XK8 on our Alignment machine, to see if I could adjust out the slight pulling to the left.

My technician seems to think the springs are sufficiently worn to warrant replacement.

Results: Front Camber L= -1.4 R = -1.6
Front Toe L = +0.10 R = + 0.11
Caster 0 0

Rear Camber L = -1.5 R = -1.2
Rear Toe L = 0 R = 0

Thrust Angle = 0.00

Suggestions? Opinons? Should I get the Front Camber adjustment bolt package?
Do I need to get rear shims? Should I replace springs & shocks? If so, who's a good source?

Thanks all!

I am not an expert but you can certainly try to bring the camber back to spec with the fulcrum bolt and shims (I am not too sure how much adjustment the bolt has). That said, this may also be attributed to deteriorated top mounts as they seem to be another symptom for this issue. There are a few threads on that particular topic.

Also I have never seen "Penta" wheels on an X100 - looks nice!

Just got the wheels yesterday. Thanks, I like them!

Check the ride height. I am pretty sure the numbers are in the sticky's or JTIS21. New spring pads will certainly raise the car a little, but may not be enough to change the camber. Of course, you may not want to increase the ride height, not as good looking.

You more than likely have shot upper front shock mounts. They collapse with time not just miles and you could easily(should be) on you second set. They do drop camber and ride height alot. Ive never ever changed springs. If your shocks are old change them now since its all gotta be done anyway for labor.

I'm on 151,000 miles...original springs, but on my first replacement sets of shock mounts and shocks. Makes a world of difference. Do the sway bar bushes and end links, plus the tie rod ends for a rejuvinated front end!

I did a little shopping online. Do I likely need new shock mounts AND shock bushings? It looks like the mount kits are about $200/each and the bushing kits about the same? Plus new shocks, of course.

Damn expensive proposition!

what you need is the upper shock mount for the front a complete assembly. dont use the replacement urethane kits. personal experiance has shown they last less time than the OEM

...and No on the other lower bushing if you get replacement shocks.
