Default Need Bluetooth for 2000 XK

just got a 2000XK yesterday and noticed that there are a number of telephone symbols at various locations. ie center dash in radio controls, and on steering wheel. Is there a way to pair a Iphone thru bluetooth to this car? If not can someone tell me the SIMPLEST way to do this so that my Iphone works thru the car radio and the controls already in the car if possible. I am somewhat mechanical but not at all electrical. Would need instructions a 60 yr old could follow. thanks, I love this forum you folks really know your stuff about these cars. By the way I absolutely love this car after 1 day!

The SIMPEST way is to use a standalone bluetooth unit, like the kind that clips to your sunvisor.

If you want an integrated solution, that uses the car speakers and built in mute, you either have to make a custom cable or wire directly into the car.....to my knowledge no one makes an adapter cable for our car.
The information is out there on the connections needed in previous posts if you search this forum.

That being said, I am currently helping another member make an adapter cable, and will eventually post very detailed instructions (probably in the next month or so) if you can wait.

I am not sure if anyone has ever successfully interfaced to the steering wheel controls...looking for input here.

Thanks for the reply, just found this this morning, it appears to be a plug and play system, very pricey though.
CarTronics, the Leading Authority on Vehicle Electronics

Has anyone else tried this item, it is an argus bluetooth adaptor

The XK8 is not currently supported, just the X-type and S-Type.
