Hi all,That's my story and the first post there.back in October I have bought my 97, xk8 convertible from couple in ages which had burned ecm really cheap, so it was not drivable at all without it. They purchased another ecm from donor, which was not in good shape either, God bless repair services still could fix them, and after a month or two - car starts and rides, just with no remote working. I made basic maintenance and ordered a mangoose cable from UK with IDS/SDD v131.After few attempts got connected with ecm and it said I need to update ecm, so I clicked - yes. Then it said, I need a vcm module to proceed, which I don't have, so interrupted, after it PECUS E shown on a dashboard screen with no other errors. Car drives just fine. Overall car is in nice condition.I have called all services in the area who might be able to help, but not luck. Does anyone have in Texas or surrounding states have equipment vcm/ids to fix it?
