Last night I replaced the intercooler pump fuse (see previous post) and adjusted the throttle cable by pulling at least
an inch of cable out of the throttle cover and reinserting the locking clip per instructions here on the forum.

Took it for a test drive. It seems much quicker than before. I accidentally left some rubber on the street in front of the neighbors house. I feel kind of bad about that not.

Just tried it. No movement of the solenoid plunger or the flap. About to go fuse hunting.

The solenoid is switched to earth by the ECM so you should have 12 volts there at all times, which also means you can easily check the solenoid is OK by earthing it.

Just went and tried mine, didn't open with the ignition on and accelerator to the floor so I put you crook there, apologies. Now I'm wondering if mine isn't opening...
