Default New Leaper

Well not a new car, but I did finally buy a 3D printer so I can play with some fabrication options. Man those things are a PITA and still squarely in the hobbyist category.

Anyway, I printed this during my test runs and thought I share. Its about the same size as a cars ornament.

Very cool thing to print. Everybody needs one of those, including yours truly.

NICE! How long did it take you from idea to finished product?

A couple of years ago I restored an old Harley three-wheeled golf cart and reproduced the decals and back trim piece over the gas tank.

The back piece was a raised emblem and my son-in-law 3D printed it for me. The end result had some ridges in it from the printing process, but I was able to massage it and once painted it looked really good.

Those printers are interesting things........ it will be fun to see what you find to use it for.

Sorry, I was not clear, I did not design the leaper. It was already a CAD file (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1612008). There are tons of stuff out there. I was just playing and testing. Print took 4 hours to print.
