I'm picking up my first Jaguar on Friday. A 2000 XKR convertable. 2 questions. Is there a kit available to do a dash mounted sirius radio and is it worth getting a new nav dvd or is the nav system to old to make full use of the upgrade?

No and yes.

Some have mounted the Sirius unit in various positions on the dash, none very attractive.

Big complaint is that there is not updates to the Nav system available.

I use my Iphone for my Sat Radio reception. It is called a SkyDock. Fits great in the lighter socket and is FM modulated. It does have a AUDIO out and I will probably get it hooked into the radio sometime next summer. Best thing is .. it charges my phone while listening. It is made for the XM radio service but with them being merged... i assume that it would work. Might be worth checking into if you also have the iphone!

Thanks for the input. I have a droid and there is a sirius app and a sky dock model that will work. Probably the best way to go.
