Welcome to the forum and sorry to read about your problems. The knocking sound after losing oil pressure makes me think you have a failed bearing. But where did the antifreeze exit the system? Was it a hose or something else?
It would help to know where you are located, as one of the members may be able to assist.

The oil pressure dropping to zero could just be a faulty sender unit but the knocking sound and barely running sounds a lot more serious.

The early V8 engines are well known for breaking plastic timing chain tensioners and fr timing chains jumping a tooth. At the very least, the camshaft covers need to come off to check the tensioners before you think of running it again.

thanks for replying I am in California..and no id didt see any leaks in the hose..The knocking noise really didnt become loud until after i put on new spark plugs and cleaned the oil pump pickup screen. When i pulled to the side of the freeway there was no sign of overheating the gauge was perfectly fine..when i checked the oil there was still some oil in there..

i haven't driven the car since iv turned on quickly to see if the knocking would continue.I saw some information on how the oil pump can have something to do with knocking. But i kind of want to rule out more serious issues like needing a new engine.Any suggestions. No lights or messages appear..no check engine light oil gauge is fine..just knocking noise that has only been noticed today.yesterday after car was told home i started the car and it sounded fine.

If all of the antfrreeze came out, and you continued to run the car for a few minutes it would likely be overheated and seriously damaged.

This can be assessed with a compression test on each cylinder.

Unfortunately this can happen without an overheat warning because the temperature sensor is not immersed in antifreeze liquid when ALL OR MOST of the coolant drains out. You should, however have had a low coolant warning.

The temperature gauge is absolutely useless - it won't move from the centre position until the engine is seriously overheated.

1. you lost coolant so was there a burst or disconnected hose?
2. 'some oil in there' - any signs of a leak?
