Help, 1997 XK8 with 41k miles. New sound and vibration on highway similar to when you drift out of your lane and the pavement has slott's cut into the road surface to make a noise and vibration to alert you, that's what's going on but not all the time. It comes and goes. Any suggestions?

 

It sounds like you might have a wheel bearing going bad. Try lifting one wheel at a time off the ground and grip it at the top and bottom and try to rock it back and forth then shift 90 degrees and grip left and right sides and rock again. There should be no movement. If you find movement then that would be the culprit.
