Default New suspension work soon

I will be having some suspension work front and back on my xk8 with 86k cause I hear some clunking noises and or vibration over rough roads at low speeds and I think some of it may be coming from the shock mounts upper or lower/both? Anyway, I thought to meself well hell just go on and keep the ole wallet flat as usual and do new shocks f/b and I am thinking about new lowering springs while they have suspension parts out anyways. Anything you fellas can add to my checklist before I take her to the shop would be helpful and ofcourse I am once again budgeted with this project.

You'll need rear camber shims and have them put in. $$$$
Your making the right move to replace the rear shocks instead of just replacing the lower bushing.
You'll need new front upper shock mounts. Welsh has them $115 each

I Highly recommend Mina Rear lowering Springs. When installing them, change the Axle Shims from the Standard 4.0mm to 7.5mm to keep the Camber in Factory Spec.

Ok guys, I'm tagging along on this thread. I'm in the same situation with the bumpy roads and such. I've checked out several other threads on suspension but I'm really not sure what's the real fix.
I've had the rear shocks replaced, first thing I did when I bought 'em. It was a HARD knock in the rear over bumps. I'm thinking he may not have replaced the mounts??? Or would that be automatic with new shocks.
As for the front, I know my mounts visible from under the hood are crumbling so they're a must, but my mechanic says they really won't make a huge difference. My front shocks aren't making the HARD clunking the rear did, it just feels as if a bumpy road is shaking the car apart at times.
PLEASE advise me on the best direction to get a smoother ride! I've got my springs for the rear, but I'm more concerned with the ride at present!!
