I have only seen the XK8 episode, but I hope you run your business better than what I can only describe as the cowboy way they went about the Jaguar - and I pity the person that ended up with it!!!

If you thought that was bad, you should watch some of the early seasons when they had 1-2k pound budgets. Panel painting with rattle cans, all sorts of fun stuff.

It's not so much their methodology that I ascribe to but the general concept, which is very sound. Buy old car, fix it up, sell it for fun and profit.

The XK8 wasn't that bad. That was the new refined wheeler dealers with money...

They fixed the restricted performance issue with a throttle body. I dunno about their miracle engine clean setup that supposedly dropped their hydrocarbons to almost nothing, but hey, I'm sure it can't really HURT the motor.

Then they upgraded the car..

They put a suspension, exhaust, a big brake kit and, 20" Jaguar Detroit wheels...

What would you have done so differently?

Take care

George
