Just purchased a 2003 XKR convertible. No power to the above components. Is there a common fuse? The previous owner I'm told disconnected the navigation and amplifier in the trunk to solve battery drain. I reattached those plugs, but still no powe and can't find which fuse this would be! Also found this plug in left front interior. What is it?
I don't know what the connector is for. Its on drivers side right?
you need to say more about audio. Does radio light up / show a display?
if yes can you load & unload CDs as shown by the display?
can you eject CD cassette? (If yes = getting power)
BTW do you understand how to do that, where to look? (Think you said you're new to this car)
Park this: you need to get a handle on why he disconndisconnected the amp / navigation. I've seen 1 example of a bad transistor inside amp keeping the amp on 7x24. My point is: while its rare event, it will drain your battery quickly if defective.
Mirrors are not on same circuit as audio.
1) how do you adjust adjusts for driving (this question for my personal edification)?
2) windows and door lights all work ok?
Anglio, please answer this stuff, it'll give me some starting points to help diagnose with you.
Spoke to the previous owner today. He said he disconnected the amplifier connection in trunk, and pulled the fuses on right side interior for both. He couldn't remember which fuses they are, but I'll look tomorrow. The 2 fuses have to be the reason for no power to radio and navigation.
