Not a Daily Driver This Winter...
...and would like a little feedback.
I have had relatively little trouble with the car (usual stuff: fuel pump, thermostat, bearings, brake sensors etc) when I drove the car every day for the past 3+ years (140,000+ miles).
This year I bought another car to make life easier moving things and people about.
I get the impression that most problems occur with these cats when they are left idle. I live near Cape Cod so snow is not a constant issue so she will get out again within weeks (I hope!)
My question is...how long can she sit without worrying about the battery discharging. Low battery volts seem to set off a litany of issues. I let it idle in the garage every once in a while. Is that OK?
Thanks to all in advance and Happy New Year!

Use a Battery Maintainer and don't Start and Idle - Engine will not warm up enough.
Harbor Freight Tools has a battery charger for $35, but if you look in the back of many car magazines you'll see a full page Harbor Freight ad that often has a coupon where you can buy it for $25.
