Check engine light came on
Now I need to read the fault codes but firs I need to find where the connector is located in an XKR 2000.
Also if you know about a not so expensive code reader that will work with the 9141-2 protocol
Thank you

bottom left driverside near hood release.... mac tools sells a little pockect reader and eraser.. just for engine codes.. works fast and gives you a description of the code.. it's faster then our jag stuff .. they sell for about $50-60 new.
If you do your own work on a continuing basis I would suggest you step up to the next level of reader that records a number of sensors when a code is set. Can help in diagnosis of issues beyond the very simple. I bought one for less than $70. Search the net for OBDII and you will get more information than you wanted.
Several auto parts stores will read your code for free but have begun to decline to reset. Obviously, some lawyer got involved somewhere.
