Another thanks, will check my orafice tomorrow, have been getting oil just like you were but strangely no problems with pressure blowing from cam cover whilst running so as said will check for blanking plate tomorrow.

Just to be clear, the oil separator
is not a blanking plate in the cam cover orifice. There IS space between the cover and the plate...this space its filled with the ball of wire mesh...and the crankcase gasses flow through this space.

Nearly all engines have some positive pressure in the crankcase, so nearly all will want to blow some amount through the breather orifice. This is why the oil separator exists...to remove the oil in the gasses blowing through.

Thanks, when I said blank I did mean the baffle plate so you were clear in the first place, must have been a Senior moment!.
I have checked and mine is complete so will have to do a bit more checking.
It is possible that becouse the engine has had a recent re-build it might be the rings bedding in, as when I first got it it had only just been done and not run in and it did use a bit of oil for the first couple hundred miles but for the last few hundred oil levels have remained the same so will keep an eye on it (when I can afford to run it that is and get fuel due to stupid panic buying)
cheers

I've been having that exact problem, I'm going to look into this tonight.

Thanks for the post!
