Oil dipstick seal?
Have a really small oil leak that I think is coming from the oil dipstick. Went to remove it to have a look and realized that if the seal did not come out with the tubing or even if it did, how would I get it back together? Seems easy enough to remove but there is no way that I can see to put it back in as there is no visible guide to install. Any experience out there?
Get 3 feet of 3/16" cable from your local hardware store. Drop the oil pan, remove the dipstick and feed the cable down the tube,
Pull the dipstick tube out, replace the seal and feed the tube down the cable. You don't have to remove the oil pan but it does make this job sooooo much easier.
