Default Oil leak

Hi all
Noticed a small engine oil leak coming from underneath where the trans and engine come together definatly engine oil any comments welcome
Going into my local Indy tomorrow for upper and lower ball joints and will have him inspect.last year I replaced 5w30 oil with 10w40 because of vvt issue, that turned out to be a bad vvt and was replaced when all chains tensioners and guides were replaced. Thanks in advance for any input

Ok answered my own question with a search, leak at bell housing, I found a very small amount of oil so will keep an eye on it do any of these stop leak additives work or compound the problem?
Thanks for any advice

very seldom do leak additives work. sometimes going back to a mineral oil from synthetic can improve things until you fix the problem.

the leak is either the rear main seal or the small threaded plug above it which is sealed with an o-ring.

Stop leak helped for a while but I finally had to replace the rear main seal.

I had similar, thought it was the rear main seal. Replaced it but still leaked.

Turned out there was a crack in the engine block at the trans hole. Casting flaw. Car had to be parted out.

But sold some parts, helped pay for a replacement 2005! So a happy ending of sorts.
