The latest update is a few years back. Does your NAV show an analogue clock face on start up? If so, you have the latest version.

Are you kidding me? A 2001 with 9,000 miles!! Did you buy it from a little old lady serving 25 to life, or what?

The latest edition of the DVD nav. disk that I've been able to find was released in 2005 with 2004 circa data, and my community, which is 35 years old, still ain't in there. So, even if you find a newer one on eBay, there's no guarantee the people who ordered up the data cared about where you live. You might think that there would be some standards on what data is included in nav disks, but evidently there is not. Although my community is not in my Jag (Apline system) nav disk, it is in my family car system same year and both disks were compiled by Navteq. Navteq tells me they put in the detail that the car manufacturer tells them to put in. Good hunting.

The very last DVD for the xk and xj nav systems is Jaguar P/N is 4W83-10E898-GA , Alpine P/N is BM9JG91F, just have to look at your disc to see if these numbers match up. Let us know if it isn't. I lost track of the thread where I posted ALL versions of our discs, so sorry about that one.

h20,

Yes, that is the one that I have and is the only one in the Alpine that displays the clock face.

Good to know about the clock face hlgeorge...makes it much easier to identfiy. your name Lew?

If anyone is really serious about changing out the NAV system, let me know and i'll tell you exactly what you need to make it work and about how much it would cost. I consider this an investment when someone else buys my car(if that ever happens). I installed a Garmin unit that uses the factory screen, uses a remote control, and you can even keep your clock if you want as a switch mounted option. I like that since the garmin welcome screen blows... WHERE TO? and something else.
