Omg! NO! Mistaken car!!
My 2005 XKR vert has been mistaken for an Aston and for a Maseratti, but most people here in Wisconsin know it is a Jag. The women especially fawn over it, now making my significant other occasionally upset. When Kim and I were together we even met a bisexual bartender who saw us pull in that offered both of us sexual favors if she could drive the Jag!
An old professor in my apartment complex mistook mine for an e-type. He said "it's been years since I last saw a Jag e-type. Why, I had one back in the 70's, a green V-12 beauty. I had to get rid of it because of the missus. Take good care of it boy, it's a fantastic car."
I hadn't the heart to inform him that this isn't an e-type, but a much more modern XK8. The old man winks at me every time I see him now. I think he wants to buy it from me.

Personally, I have always been very suspicious of professors who winked at me, but then, I did not have an E type at the time, though I did look into buying one back in the late seventies and the sellers always said, "You know that you can't have this as your only car, don't you?".
I was right out of college and was not prepared to have two cars.

Had a Purple Sebring, leased it so I could trial AutoPC one of the first fully integrated entertainment units (nav, voice command, phone etc.). Microsoft tech and it sucked largely because it was under powered and so was the car which wasn't bad looking really but drove like a boat and not in a good way. Found some old pictures. Really didn't miss this one when the lease expired.
Considering that an E type in good condition might be worth forty to sixty thousand dollars or even more, you should consider it! LOL!
